Created equipment design spreadsheets incorporating process and mechanical calculations into comprehensive program allowing for quick, accurate design of equipment in a consistent and economical manner. Generate cost estimates and proposals for various product lines. Review and update Flare designs. Create standard PID’s for all product lines.

JAN‘19 – JUN ‘21

Engineering manager, Hero Flare

Responsible for all aspects of Engineering within company. Includes: Oversight/Ownership of all drawings and drawing packages; maintaining current drawing packages; review and sign-off on all purchased instrumentation and buy-out items; development of new burner, pilot, combustion equipment and technologies; creation of new company operating system comprised of drawing development, folder structure, documentation, and project lifetime roles and responsibilities.

Technology manager/applications engineer, Callidus/UOP/Honeywell

Initial responsibilities as Tech Mgr included process design of both Flare and Thermal Oxidizer projects, along with development of Technical Proposal in accordance with internal/customer specifications, and creation of project Cost Estimate. Restructuring to Applications Engineer had process design relegated to dedicated group while replacing with full ownership of both Technical and Commercial Proposals under my scope. Responsible for all Bid Clarification Forms and attendance of meetings. International travel 10-30%. Peak year sales: $7.3MM

AUG ‘11 – DEC ‘13

Senior Project Manager thermal oxidizers, John Zink

Oversight of all aspects of projects assigned to me in TO group. Included: attendance of all major customer and vendor meetings; monthly project fiduciary and schedule reports, both internally and to customer; Created fabrication RFQ packages and provided oversight on fabrication budgets and production schedules. Major projects included SRU system and halogenated waste multi-component oxidizer systems

APR‘05 – JUL ‘11

Project manager, MRW Technologies

Design, Estimating, Project Management, and Start-up of Flares, Vapor Combustors, and Thermal Oxidizers ranging from $50k-400k. Created all project CAD drawings. Created fabrication RFQ packages, conducted procurement, and responsible for QA/QC of delivered product. Started controls group with self-taught development of PID’s, wiring diagrams, and PLC programming.

MAR’04 – MAR’05

Mobile Lab Chemist, TransWest Geochem

Operated 1-ton truck with 30-ft gooseneck trailer containing Gas Chromatographs (GC’s) for on-site soil analysis observing presence of various contaminants. Responsible for all aspects of equipment, proper chemical analysis, reporting, and certification of results. Worked autonomously 90% of the time.
